"Crystal Cove"
This photo was a gift from one of the former owners of my cabin. My guess is that it was taken in the late 1930's. You can see an automobile parked in the top left portion of the photo. Do you recognize it or its vintage? Email me!
If you look at the little pine trees planted in the lower left of the above linked picture, you have to imagine the one closest to the house now stretching to over 100 feet tall! The stream flows barely a quarter of an inch beneath the photo. Click on the Cabin Now to see what I've done over the past ten years to renovate and update. You are looking down from the road at the cabin in this view.
There was only electric when I bought it: no water, no heat, and no phone lines. I hauled in water for almost five years before I was ready to have a well drilled, and actually heated up water on the stove for sponge baths. You might say it was worth all of the roughing it, if you see the beautiful view Downstream from my picture window in the morning.
All of the sacrifice and effort paid off, the day I took this picture Upstream through my picture window!
